Stephen R. Basey, 60 of Indianapolis passed away on April 20, 2008. He born to the late Robert and Vivian Basey of Indianapolis on April 20, 1948. Stephen is survived by his wife, Sandra; two sons, Robert Basey and William (wife Babelyn) Basey; three grandchildren, Ariel Basey, Cheyanne Basey, and Joshua K. Borero-Basey. Visitation was Wednesday, November 19th from 5-8, with Moose ceremony performed by Moose Lodge #500. Stephen was laid to rest with military honors at Marion National Cemetery on Thursday, November 20 at 1:00pm. The Basey Family would like to express our sincere appreciation for everyone’s sympathy & support ! Steve’s love of life, family & friends was inspirational & though he is in a better place, he will be greatly missed !

Uncle Steve is a great uncle to have in your life. I loved growing up knowing during the summer vacations and all school breaks I would be with my uncle Steve and aunt Sandy. I am very proud to say he was a great man and will be sadly missed by everyone that has had the privilige to know Steve Basey. I will love and miss my UNCLE STEVE…… LOVE YOUR NIECE
